It is never going to stop. Some people just have an ax to grind on the US military, and our government. Just another form of terrorism. Jump in and start screaming at the "evil ones". Facts not wanted, or required. Were an easy target, so we get crap thrown at us, sad but true.

Criticism of the government is another form of terrorism?

Wow!

I would beg to differ. Would be more inclined to suggest that repression of government criticism is much more akin to terrorism.

But you're right, the military should be beyond all reproach. Lets reserve all criticism for the writers, and not those who wield all but total power.

That's what we're working for in the U.S.A.

Oh wait, that wrong! That's Iran! Holy cow! We should be criticising the government.

Personal politics aside, I think that we have to keep in mind that we know little about the way humanity impacts the ocean and its inhabitants, particularly in the long run. It is important to keep an open mind and be objective about all the possible reasons incidents like these happen. Miltary involvement or not.

With that said, there is some interesting research posted on The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America in regards to sonar and its effects on marine mammal behavior. http://scitation.aip.org/jasa/

I'm with ya Humuhumunukunukuapua'a.
