Just hanging out on the beach in Akumal would be a lot of fun. Great beach, snorkeling, food/drink. Just above Akumal is Half Moon Bay, with a great bar called La Buena Vida. Tulum is breathtaking, and Xel-Ha might be fun. It's an "eco-park" with tubing, snorkeling, hammock island, dolphin encounters, "cliff of courage", etc..

Have a great time. The Yucatan has soooo much to offer! You'll have a blast.

Hi,

A couple of suggestions that work for the diver w/non diving spouse:

Day 1) Cenote Snorkel/Dive at Dos Oyos then continue to the Ruins at Tulum. After visiting the ruins continue on to Grand Cenote for the second snorkel/dive of the day. This is a full day.

Day 2) Dry caving adventure. Spend the day exploring a beautiful cave in it's natural state - no fake lights, absolutely amazing.

Day 3) Xcaret. It's a bit disneyland like, but still very much worth the entrance price and there is enough to see there to last from 8:00 am till 9:00 pm

or

Take a tour to Coba to see the ruins and combine it with a stop at a cenote for a snorkel.

If you are looking to do something different, I know this guy that can help
