do you mean a combined octo/inflator such as Air2? I don't think you'll find too many people without an alternate air source of some sort...

Dont really understand the question. Do you mean a spare 2nd stage or a fully redundant air supply?

Most people i dive with now have octos at least. Personally i have an octo and pony.

A spare 2nd stage, which is why I stated a 2nd Stage one Something designed for your buddy and not for yourself.

I think most people think of an "alternate air source" as a inflator/second stage combo.
