Bama v LSA was 21-21 with 3 seconds left on the clock and indside the 20.

Tiffon lines up for an easy kick.... LSU BLOCKS IT!!!!!

Overtime... LSU throws an interception in the End Zone!

Bama comes back and Wilson goes in for the QB sneak for Bama to Win.

Great Game! knocks LSU out of the SEC West. Bama vs Florida is what the SEC Championship will look like. that will be one HELL of a game!

I was at every LSU home game and saw every away game on TV. No offense to Alabama fans but if LSU had any one of the other starting quarterbacks in the SEC other than Jarred Lee, Bama would have lost by 14. Bama's glory will end at the SEC championship game and finish the season no better than 5th. I have maintained all season that Bama was overrated and yesterdays game did nothing to change my mind. Florida is a level above the rest of the SEC.
Overall the SEC has been mediocre this year, Tenn is on the skids down, LSU has a serious OB problem, USC is USC, Little Stevie can't get the caliber of players he needs and probably never will, Georgia never lived up to preseason hype, Vandy is better but has the same player situation as Little Stevie, Ole Miss has a new coach and is making some progress but it will be a while, MSU is MSU, nuf said, Kentucky is average. Auburn is in disarray, Alabama's schedule has not been the strongest, Arkansas is going through a new coach, what's left is Florida.

2 dead in argument over Ala.-LSU football game

EVERGREEN, Ala. – Authorities say an argument over Saturday's Alabama-LSU football game led to the shooting deaths of a couple at a home in southern Alabama.

Prosecutors identified the victims as Dennis and Donna Smith of Brewton. The shooting happened about 7 p.m. Saturday at the home of Michael Williams in the rural community of Owassa.

Williams was arrested and charged with two counts of murder.

Investigators told the Press-Register newspaper in Mobile that Dennis Smith, an LSU fan, called Williams, an Alabama fan, after Alabama's 27-21 overtime win and an argument ensued.

The Smiths went to Williams home. Investigators said Smith had a pistol and Williams had a shotgun and fired. Donna Smith was a relative of Williams' girlfriend

I think that is pretty fair comment. You can't throw that many picks and win any game. Even taking the Tide to overtime was quite an achievement given the play at QB.

Bama's glory will end at the SEC championship game and finish the season no better than 5th.

I suspect that is fair comment too. Bama strike me as very solid, but limited. Yes, they managed to blow out Clemson and Georgia, but those teams both look a little overrated now.

I think they probably get exposed by a more dynamic team like Florida, and I suspect that they probably get exposed again if they play a high calibre opponent in a bowl. Good defence goes a long way, but I am not convinced by them.

I definately think Bama was over-rated in the first part of the season. But they are coming along now... They are playing "ALL" of the ballgame instead of slacking off towards the end like they did in the beginning of the season.

I also didn't think their schedule was a tough as it could have been.

However, while they haven't played perfect, they've held their spot in the rankings and advanced.

While they might have been over-rated. they still beat LSU. Ensuring that LSU was out of the SEC Championship game. But that wasn't Bama alone that killed LSU from going to the Georgia Dome. Remember LSU lost two other games also.

Will Alabama beat Auburn? prob so. But I think most of that will be Auburn beating itself. Alabama will just happen to be there.

Will Alabama beat Florida? I don't think so. But I can assure you that it will be a good game. Even though Florida has lost one game, I still think they are the toughest team in the SEC.

Way too early to be talking about willing the national championship for Bama though... they need to focus on their next games. While many don't like Saban, he seems to have that attitude to keep his players focused on next saturday.

Football dispute leaves 2 dead

Monday, November 10, 2008 By CONNIE BAGGETTStaff Reporter
An Escambia County couple died Saturday after an argument over the Alabama/LSU football game ended in shotgun blasts, according to Conecuh County authorities.

District Attorney Tommy Chapman identified the people killed as Dennis and Donna Smith of Appleton Road near Brewton.

The shooting allegedly occurred about 7 p.m. at the home of Michael Williams near the Owassa community in Conecuh County, Chapman said.

Williams was arrested, Chapman said, and charged with two counts of murder.

Dispatchers at the Conecuh County Sheriff's Office declined to comment about the case.

Investigators said witnesses told them that Dennis Smith, an LSU fan, called Williams, a fan of the Crimson Tide, after the game Saturday evening and an argument ensued.

Officers said Donna Smith was a relative of Michael Williams' girlfriend.

Soon, the Smiths arrived at Williams' home and the men wound up in a physical altercation, officers said.

Smith retrieved a pistol from his vehicle, and threatened Williams, who armed himself with a shotgun and fired two blasts, striking and killing Dennis Smith, officers said.

Donna Smith then threatened Williams, who shot and killed the woman, they said.

Investigators said alcohol was believed to have been a factor in the killings, and the investigation was ongoing late Sunday.

That was all over the news this morning. I can't believe the stupidity of people getting that angry over a GAME.

at least once every few years after the Alabama Auburn game there is at least one incident of a knife stabbing, etc of two drunk redneck fans....
