A general rule of thumb that I use underwater is that if it isn't close enough that I could reach out and tough it, then I probably can not count on lighting it.

Not always the case. This is taken with one Big Blue VL4200P video light. Was a test to see how good it would be using Go Pro Hero 4.

However I now have a TG6 and two Big Blue VL4200P lights.

That is why I said "As a general rule of thumb ...". Very few things in life are absolute.
