Oddly, though, I don't see the 1/2" valve in the 2010 catalog.
 
...I have thought about putting a 1/2" tapered Din valve from XS Scuba in the 1959 tank and using it...

Thanks, I had no idea I could get new valves with ½" CGA threads, let alone modern ones that support yoke & DIN. I have been searching for parts for three old valves for over a year. Anyone have a source for these rather than special ordering though an LDS?

I emailed XS Scuba- I'll let you know what they say.
I talked to Wayne over at Amigo's, and he said he thought we could get the valve, but we did not actually try to order one.

It looks like the tank is a concave bottom Rene tank. There is a bit of a demand for these by collectors.
