NIce info on the island. I love the place been there, 3times. Each time is a better trip, and more enjoyable then the last....

Glad you and your family had a nice time!

You made a nice - well thought out report. However, Kaya Gobernador DeBrot is a primary road. Marked by the sign that has a wide arrow with a small cross road. Traffic, whether entering or circumnavigating the circle must yield to traffic on the priority road. If you will note there are small yield signs painted on the road.

If you will eat at a few restaurants in your home town you will see that you average about $25 a person for a nice meal. I tell folks that the food is no more expensive, you just eat out seven days in a row.

I'm happy you had a grand time on my favorite island.

Thanks for posting.
Good info there.

Thanks for the very nice report. I am heading to Bonaire next summer and your report helped paint a picture about the island that will certainly help on my trip. Thanks again.

Tom is right about the traffic circle..as to cost at restaurants,I have found it to be about the same as a neighborhood restaurant in Westchester county NY. To go to market and purchase groceries and then spend the time cooking was at times even more costly than eating out.I have a deal in April for our group where meals-lunch or and dinner,(breakfast is no charge) at the resort restaurant are discounted 50%(up top $75. off bill at the end of week, per person).

The average meal in my town at a good quality restaurant is under $12. And my price reference was on the low end of the menu items, and did not include drinks, dessert, or any side items. I think my price assessment is accurate, if not conservative to the low side.

Regarding driving, my report was correct. I didn't delineate between right of way for different directions of traffic. I merely stated that traffic already established in the circle has right of way over traffic entering the circle. If you are on the main road and a car is proceeding around the circle from the left and will be crossing the main road, that car does not have to yield to the car entering the circle from the main road.

I forgot about MacDonalds and Burger King - sorry. As for the traffic circle - keep driving like that and it's no wonder you get dirty looks. We weren't criticizing your writing just pointing out some things that would strengthen it. Michael IS a great guy - Have known him for 18 years.
