Why is this question is a tech diving forum? 13 cuft is barely adequate for recreational below 60ft unless you plan on using it for argon in which case it would be better to back mount it beside or below your backplate.

Heck I use a 13cf for my Argon bottle! Better look at a larger volume cyld.. ;)

You can just treat it as a sling bottle. Check any of the DIY or readily available mounting systems. (Requires a d-ring on the waist as well.)

Guy asks a simple question, gets harangued. Give him a break, he's new here.

I consider 13cf as an argon bottle, not a pony at all.

The best way is to hook it up with your bag gas tanks. I think it is most common application.

welcome to scubaboard...

Hey in a tech forum a 13 cf bottle is used for argon. I take it your not diving a long hose so mounting the bottle on the right can be done But not recomended .

If you are diving to the rec limit of 130ft i would recomend a aluminum 30 or 40 cf bottle slung on the left side if your bc has the proper attaching d rings .

And if you want to use the 13 cf bottle as a bail out you can use the halcyon or another manufacturers argon mount kit and mount it on your back and sling a 40 inch hose to some were that you feal comfortable and easy to reach .Remember that you cant shut this tank on and off if it starts to freeflow.

Yes a 13cf is an argon bottle, but you can shut the system down if you set the bottle upside down on the left of your tank. If, you are indeed a tech, and are diving twins, there is a product called the "Pony Tamer" and you can check it out and other products at www.reefscuba.com . If you are using a BC with a tank strap, you should look into a Quick Draw pony bottle bracket, www.Quickdrawbrackets.com, or www.ponybottlebracket.com . I own both systems and they work awesome for each application. You can use the Quick draw bracket on twins also, if you get yourself a 2" strap to attach the bracket to. Check it out, and dive safe!
Glad to see you around. You are in place with much knowledge, USE IT!!
Have Fun.
