This is some video I shot a few weeks ago where I got a fish “stuck” on the bottom at a depth of 60 ft while snorkeling. Due to the current, time constraints and the fact that I was tired from doing probably 40 dives that day to 50-65 feet, I decided to return to the boat and “cheat: by using a pony bottle for recovery of the fish.

Nothing unusual about the video, but it might help to show that a diver can ascend from 60-80 feet on a 13-cu-ft pony bottle.

Video shot with a Go-pro camera (with Mako flat lens) attached to speargun.

... double

First: Can you Eat barracuda's and live?

Second, I'm entering your thread in the "most creative" troll category.:eyebrow:

Third, is a 13cuft big enough? IMHO, no. I like something that will allow me to do a USN 10-min missed stop procedure on air. A 30 is fine, I use a sidemounted 40 because I have Hoover tendencies when I'm looking for stuff...

Many people eat cuda...and my dog and cat love them. Nothing i spear goes to waste.

Not too surprising as you probaly have a .5cu ft SAC rate or lower. Shouln't your statement read, descend and ascend with a 13cu ft cylinder?

Cool! Since I started diving rebreathers, I'm diving with a min of 40cf pony for backup. I would only say if you a slinging a 13, a bigger bottle is not a big deal.

I'm not sure if its the camera wide angle lens but they look like tough shots - Well done!

13 cu ft is roughly 500 psi on an AL80, most people should not use that much ascending from 60 feet. It would take about 4 minutes to suck the bottle dry at 65 feet with a SAC rate of 1. Since you would be ascending, there is more then enough gas for a 30 fpm ascent +safety stop for one diver.
