My goal was to have 100 dives in my first year of diving but missed it by 5 days. My first instuctor told me it would take a couple of years to get in a 100 dives. Im a lucky guy, my wife lets me dive every weekend. I told my wife that i hit a 100 dives last weekend and she said ya so what. I know that's not a lot of dives and im still a newbee to alot of you one this board but i learn alot and had alot of fun in this first year. I hope im lucky enough to get in the same amout of dives in my second year.

Congratulations. I don't care what anyone says, that's a heck of a milestone and achievement. I'm working on doing the same thing. :D

Im working on get in 100 dives too. I should be thier this winter as long as one of my buddies get his drysuit. :11:

CONGRATS!!! That is great - it took me not quite 5 yrs to get my 100th in. Where did you do your 100th? I did my in Belize. It is a great personal achievement. Here's looking to hearing about your 200th dive.

That is ALOT for a year!! And in New England--burrrrrrrrr

hey well done, took me almost 2 years to get my 100th...(logged;))

did it on the sea tiger in Honolulu....very cool!

well done to you!! :fruit:

100 dives in a year is a pretty good rate of diving. 1 dive every 3.5 days is nothing to scoff at. I think I had around 50 in my first year and 60 in my second year. Most guys/gals that get 100 + dives a year live out of a dive shop with no responsibilities and have lots of dive buddies. Do you keep track of total U/W time? This will also be a good thing to track. It's neat to be able to see that you have spent two weeks of your life U/W.
Keep getting wet and enjoy.

Congratulations!!!!!
I also reached 100 dives a month ago and this is a reason to be proud. At least that's what I felt and can imagine that you feel too.
So I wish you another 1000 dives!!!!

Congrats! I just logged my 15th dive, and it's looking like I'll be on pace for a 50-60 dives for a first year of diving. Hopefully that might change once I get my drysuit, otherwise I'll be land-bound for the winter. :( It was neat looking at my log book last night and realizing I've spent an entire work-day underwater (just over 8 hours).

Here's to the next 100!

Congrats! That's quite an achievement. I did 100 dives in my first year also, and I know how difficult it can be when you have a full time job and other responsibilities. Keep it going!
