1 Day in Palau - Help!

I am going to Palau in two weeks for business. (I live in Saipan so its not that bad a trip.)

I have one full day free and I want to maximize it.

I am flexible in where I stay. Any suggestions (Close proximity to food, dive ops, etc.)?

Any good Dive Op recommendations?

Dive site recommendations?

I could haul my gear over but it would really suck. Is rental gear readily available for a reasonable price?

Could I dive in the morning then make it to Jellyfish Lake that same afternoon?

Is it worth renting a car or are taxis relatively cheap?
