Dove today 1/2 way rock and Paddock rock w/ Cape Ann Divers. Conditions were great.. Good vis - 15 to 20 ft, sunny, winds finally died down, calm seas. Made all the difference topside!

Water was 47ish at depth. Were 4 others on smaller of two boats. (other boat went to Haight and one other wreck site)

Dive 1 was 1/2 way rock. Did wall to about 90 and zig zagged up and putzed around 20 feet before safety stop (35 min bottom time)

Dive 2 was Paddock. I have never dove before. One of my favorite boat dive sites!! Lots of neat valley's/crevices.. 30 min bottom time, dept 80 and average depth 30-40 feet. No surge, swells, current. Calm at surface.

Get out and dive!

Those are 2 of my favorite my dives. I've only done halfway a few times - but - it really blew my mind, it's deep too.

Paddock, on the other hand, is one my staple dives (often coupled with the Poling). I have a ton of dives there and it really is just an incredible site. I think Captain Steve "discovered" it. The last time I was there we dropped down into the trench and swam to the right the whole way untill it opens up to sand (after a set of big boulders blocking the way). Very cool spot, lots of great inverts on the wall too, in the winter there are lots of cod too.

Yes, Paddock is nice. You just described the dive I did. From boat, headed south to find trench. Went down to bottom sand and started circling the rock zig zagging my way up. once I got to bottom of trench, saw biggest cod going into a rock crevice. I tried to look for it on other end but never saw it again.
