OK, I was just kidding about the money but I could use help, a photo or something. When setting up a DIR system you attach the back up reg around your neck with a "Necklace" right? I know you can make it out of surgical tubing but how exactly do you attach it to the reg? Is it tied to the reg, or should the reg come right off the "necklace" when/if you have to use it? Any help would be appreciated.

A number of ways of fashioning a necklace are discussed here.

The regulator remains in the necklace. If you need to use it, you just put it in your mouth. When you no longer need it, you let it go and it returns to its position below your chin. If it doesn't freeflow, that is :)

So, do I win the $1000? I have some bands and a manifold I'd like to buy :)

Negative on the money, sorry. That was just a clever way to get a reply...haha. I do appreciate the info though. It's amazing what that little search bar will do for answering questions.

That's the link I used a couple nights ago. From that link, there is this link: http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=79052 which will give you these links: http://www3.sympatico.ca/chatterton/bungee.html for a picture, and http://www.bsa-troop34.org/Files/Kno...rmans_knot.htm for tying a fisherman's knot.

I found these links to be quite helpful.

Bill.
