I have a Probe BC and the cummerbund elastic has completely failed and isn't stretchy at all anymore. The cummerbund is pretty much useless now. Where can I get a new cummerbund?

I have a ML Probe as well. I would be curious as to what they say on the sizing though. I'm 5'9" and 195 lbs and it fits me pretty good but sometimes is a little loose. I mainly dive with just a skin here in FL.

Shoulder dumps are useful while ascending. I think the origination of the inflator hose dump was probably as an emergency dump. It's something easy to find and yank on if you're ascending uncontrollably.

Clean the parts with some soapy water (including the rubber ring) and let them dry. Then coat the rubber ring with some o-ring lubricant. That should help it stay soft and get a good seal. As others have said, take care as you screw the cover back on so that you don't cross-thread it.

I am not sure how it would work but I bet you could unscrew the hose from the base and put in a threaded plug.
