Teric owners, have you required repair or replacement service?

Seems my less than one year old Teric is afflicted with the "fast battery drain while off" as I'm losing about 10% per day (with AI and Compass off) while the watch is turned off. I sent an email to Dive Tronix and they responded very quickly with instructions on how to ship it back for...

Teric owners, have you required repair or replacement service?

Great find - I think I just bought the last one! I've been looking for a Teric for awhile and $695 was too hard to pass up...even if I had to get the ugly bronze bezel :D

What has changed in the Scuba industry in the last 10-15 years?

I'm just starting to get back into diving after a 15 year break and I'm curious how things have changed in the scuba industry in the last decade in a half? I started diving in 2006, stopped in 2008 and am just now getting back into it. So...what did I miss? :) I'm curious on any...

    TSandM -- Lynne Flaherty

I haven't been on this board in 10+ years and it's been about that long since I was in the water diving. Out of the blue I decided to come back and just now saw this post...I nearly fell out of my chair with shock and great sadness. As 54 other pages of comments can attest too, Lynne was an...

Thanks AfterDark, that's what I figured but I wanted to err on the side of caution and ask you all.

Should I get my reg serviced?

So I know the proper service interval for a reg is once every year, however, I have a question for you all. I purchased an Aeris Atmos Pro 1st and 2nd stage reg around December last year. Due to a combination of things in my life, I've only been able to dive once since then. Should I get...

Giant Squid caught in West Seattle

Hmm, I never thought I'd see one of these around there. What would you do if you ran into one of these at depth? It would be a little unnerving in my opinion. Giant squid caught in West Seattle | Top Stories | Seattle News, Local News, Breaking News, Weather | KING5.com

Ax Men go SCUBA diving for logs ~ Aqua Logger

The dad on that show was wired way too tight. Every time he talked to his son it was at the top of his lungs screaming. Like another poster, I did notice too that when he wanted to check his air, he was actually turning it off. Darwin will come calling soon.

    Crabbing and Diving

Don't forget the obvious but worth mentioning tip, make sure you have your shellfish license and catch record card on your person when you go. If you exit the water with your catch and your license is in your vehicle and the game warden says hello, you'll be in trouble.

    Trying to figure something out

You are narc'd every time you dive and at any depth. It's a matter of how much nitrogen narcosis affects your body based on depth and your personal physiology. Some people feel extremely loopy at 50feet, other people feel nothing at 100 feet. Just remember though that your body undergoes the...

Is Puget Sound considered "Cold Water Diving"

Thanks everyone and I decided to finalize my purchase after reading your responses. I ponied up and got a Zeagle Brigade BC w/lumbar pad and rear trim pockets, Aeris Atmos Pro Reg, Aeris AI Computer w/quick disconnect, Bare Trek Boots, and a drysuit hose for a very very good deal. Thank you...

Is Puget Sound considered "Cold Water Diving"

..at least from a regulator perspective? I keep reading about regs suitable for warm water/cold water etc and I want to know if Puget Sound is cold enough to require a "Cold Water Reg" Below what temperatures would make a dive site "cold water"? The reason I ask is I'm considering...

Going to Cabo Nov 25-Dec 1 time frame?

I was there in May and dove with Manta Diving as well. Nice shop, however the boats are small, panga's I think. I had Nacho as my guide, did 2 dives for the day, it was a nice change of pace for cold water diving up here in Seattle.
