Downloading Dive Log from Cloud onto Perdix

Yes, thank you. I have done that when I first purchased the Perdix. Personally, I wouldn't take that as proof of someone's dive history since this way anyone can claim whatever they wish.

Downloading Dive Log from Cloud onto Perdix

Yes, sure, but sometimes, for various reasons, I would prefer to leave my phone in the hotel. As I said, it's not a big deal. It's just that having it on the computer is, imo, more practical.

Downloading Dive Log from Cloud onto Perdix

Yes, I do, but it's not always practical having a phone on a dive boat. Having the log on the computer is ideal.

Downloading Dive Log from Cloud onto Perdix

Understood. Thank you. The reason why I was asking is that some dive operations ask to check the computer dive log to verify the number of dives one has made. For this reason, I prefer to leave the dives on the computer even after I uploaded them to the cloud. I guess, if needed, I can show my...

Downloading Dive Log from Cloud onto Perdix

Since the dive log on my Perdix AI has been wiped clean due to a repair, I am wondering if there a way to download it back from SW Cloud onto the computer.

The Third Dive: The Death of Rob Stewart

Ok, thank you for the explanation. Still, the optics are similar to tomorrow's governor's election in Georgia. Kemp can't be the Secretary of State, in charge of overseeing the election, and also a candidate for Governor and expect that people aren't going to wonder about the integrity of the...

The Third Dive: The Death of Rob Stewart

Understood. But wasn't the coast guard nearby? Couldn't they just wait for the coast guard to arrive and then hand over the recovery to them?

The Third Dive: The Death of Rob Stewart

Understood. I am not suggesting that they shouldn't have participated in the search. Only that perhaps they could have abstained from recovering the body. At that point there was really no hurry.

The Third Dive: The Death of Rob Stewart

Thank you for the clarification. Yet, in this case, there was a potential conflict of interest. Jenni must have known that the optics were kind of bad. Unless, perhaps, the alternative was far worse.

The Third Dive: The Death of Rob Stewart

(For some reason I stopped getting notifications about this thread) Question: If Horizon was a truly disinterested party with a lawyer who could counsel them on situ, why didn't they simply radio the coast guard that they had found the body so that they could come retrieve it themselves?

The Third Dive: The Death of Rob Stewart

I am sorry if I wasn't clear and you misunderstood my post. Nowhere and by no one in the documentary it is posited that there was a conspiracy to kill Rob Stewart. The suggestion, as you state, is simply that there might have been a coverup of negligence.

The Third Dive: The Death of Rob Stewart

I am glad I found this thread. I remember hearing about Rob Stewart's death when it happened but then did not follow up. I just watched the documentary and I personally found it informative and thought provoking. People should watch it and decide for themselves. Still, a couple of general...

    Save Bonaire's Donkeys

How exactly do the donkeys "adversely affect the habitats and bioregions" of Bonaire?

    Save Bonaire's Donkeys

Correct, thus the Bonaire government should allow for the study to be completed before allowing for more donkeys to be castrated.

    Save Bonaire's Donkeys

First off, I am not sure you could call the donkeys an invasive species. Nevertheless, if it can be demonstrated that the Bonaire donkeys are an endangered species I don't see why they shouldn't be preserved. Are the pigs, goats and bisons from Catalina Island unique species? And does remove...

    Save Bonaire's Donkeys

As me and others have pointed out already the proof is in the post. You are arguing about semantics when you are talking about streets. The streets are not enclosed and they criss cross the island. The donkeys have to cross streets in order to move about. If your argument was correct, then why...

    Save Bonaire's Donkeys

Mike, The donkeys can take care of themselves just fine. They don't need any money, they only need some respect as rightful cohabitants of the island. According to your reasoning, the international community should just let Japan kill whales into extinction since what they do in their own...

    Save Bonaire's Donkeys

djtimmy77, My point is that they are not endemic to Bonaire either, regardless of how they got there. Just because humans brought the donkeys there, doesn't mean that humans have the right to exterminate them especially since, according to the scientists involved, these donkeys may be the last...

    Save Bonaire's Donkeys

The same could be said of the fish, critters, and coral in the marine park.
