Tnanks Zef (and wife). The new plate sits well doesn't it! I did wonder if the crossed straps would be a better option for those of us with narrow shoulders. I'll be interested to know if that's more comfortable for her, when you get to re-threading it. Jane.

Zef, that kit your wife is wearing looks huge to me! Admittedly she's an inch taller, but I simply don't wear full sized cylinders if I can possibly avoid it; 12l dumpy for me. Fortunately I don't consume a lot of air, so that's plenty! D-fresh - thank you for your advice too. I'll be back!

Thank you. I was interested specifically in the peanut because of it's lift capacity in relation to it's size. At the moment in my (stupid) aeris which I've struggled with for 8+ years, I am swamped by 'bladder' and impenetrable pockets on the surface, and faffing around trying...

If I knew how, I'd try and overlay your backplate image onto this picture to see if it lines up! You're right that the slots are not long, but their position is clearest on this camo style

I've just seen that Subgravity also sell harness sliders so that answers that question, and research told me the short 3mm ss backplate is 1.78kg, so that's those 2 questions answered! II'm still not clear about the STA and whether the Tecline Peanut 16 will measure up to fit backplates by...
