    Short/small backplate

Tnanks Zef (and wife). The new plate sits well doesn't it! I did wonder if the crossed straps would be a better option for those of us with narrow shoulders. I'll be interested to know if that's more comfortable for her, when you get to re-threading it. Jane.

    Short/small backplate

Hi Zef, as a point of interest, what is the length and width of your DiveRite SS backplate? There seems to be no data anywhere about backplate sizes. Seems to be an industry secret!! Cheers

    Short/small backplate

Zef, that kit your wife is wearing looks huge to me! Admittedly she's an inch taller, but I simply don't wear full sized cylinders if I can possibly avoid it; 12l dumpy for me. Fortunately I don't consume a lot of air, so that's plenty! D-fresh - thank you for your advice too. I'll be back!

    Short/small backplate

Thank you. I was interested specifically in the peanut because of it's lift capacity in relation to it's size. At the moment in my (stupid) aeris which I've struggled with for 8+ years, I am swamped by 'bladder' and impenetrable pockets on the surface, and faffing around trying...

Ah! Now I see what you're saying! Huge difference! Thanks

    Short/small backplate

If I knew how, I'd try and overlay your backplate image onto this picture to see if it lines up! You're right that the slots are not long, but their position is clearest on this camo style

    Short/small backplate

No need to be sorry! I appreciate your guidance. Am I to assume that adding a STA might overcome the problem if the slots don't line up? (I can't quite picture it)

That helps enormously. Thank you! 2 tank straps would definitely be my choice. I'll take a closer look at the Peanut slots. If only they supplied measurements like your helpful pictures above! Thank you Zed

    Short/small backplate

I've just seen that Subgravity also sell harness sliders so that answers that question, and research told me the short 3mm ss backplate is 1.78kg, so that's those 2 questions answered! II'm still not clear about the STA and whether the Tecline Peanut 16 will measure up to fit backplates by...

    Short/small backplate

And another question . . . could you please tell me the weight of the backplate? Thank you :-)

    Short/small backplate

Hi Zef, I believe this is what I'm looking for. I'm 5'1" 120lb and looking to go from an ill-fitting 'woman's cut' BCD to a BP/W. After hours and hours researching, I have realised that even the BP/W option needs customising for a small lady! I have been looking at the Tecline Peanut 16...

Anyone with experience on Tecline Peanut 16?

Hi JulesSs, I just wondered if you've had the chance to use this yet. Do you like it? Which model/harness/backplate do you have? Thanks! Jane

    Thank you for the add!

Hi! I'm Jane, live in Norfolk UK, and wanted to join Scubaboard specifically because there is a thread on here about a product I'm interested in purchasing. So I'll be heading over to that thread to see if I can glean more information! Happy Diving :-)
