    SP Tactical G260

Hogan I'll keep my HKs with 4# LEM triggers and Glocks. Only safety I need is my finger. I know Sig has a similar trigger system to the LEM, called the DAK, but I have yet to try their version of it. It is intriguing though

    SP Tactical G260

I don't disagree. But plenty more has been shrugged off too. It seems that is just the designation for that color scheme. I think "stealth" or something having to do more with looks than functionality would have been better, but oh well

    SP Tactical G260

kinda surprised to see so many people hate on a reg simply for a word used in the name. I have no idea what would make a breathing device "tactical", 3 bubble burst? But they could call it the "poopsnot" for all I care as long as it breathes well

want to buy a new reg

if you want a different one and get OCD about it like I do. Get something used for a deal. That way if you don't like it, you can recoup almost all your $ back and try again or stick with what you've got

    Hoses and Mouthpieces?

it's in your head really. One end of the hose is fastened right behind your head and the other end is on the reg in your mouth. Not really anything that's gonna get in there. Besides. If somehow, something DOES catch on it. You're not gonna be breathing anyways

Why is one corrugated hose better than the other?

as long as the connection fits, it should work fine

I guess we can all just put our regulators away fro good! (LOL-ha haaa!)

if they actually made a working prototype, that's fantastic. Maybe now they can use those batteries in my damn phone so it doesn't need to charge every 4 hours. And then I can sell a kidney to buy this "artificial gill"

    Hoses and Mouthpieces?

Thanks. That was my thoughts as well. I'm still new enough to the point that I've got a bit of time before I get to the point that I'd be sharing air in a cave so tight, we'd have to exit single-file. And by that point I will have an octo on a necklace instead of AIR2. In such tight tolerances...

    Hoses and Mouthpieces?

but in the case of a 90* joint, you're really only looping the arm which is less motion than the 540* around the body (by the way, thank you for all the replies. I'm not trying to be argumentative, if it's coming across that way. I'm just trying to understand it)

    Hoses and Mouthpieces?

out of curiosity, why? On the DGX site, they stated that their most common length of hose for tech diving was 7'. Is there a particular reason for going so long, or is it just comfort/preference? A 40" routed under my arm seems ideal to me in fact that there's really nothing hanging off to drag...

    Hoses and Mouthpieces?

I have an AIR2 for my inflator/backup reg. I've been told that a 40" routed under-arm is the best option for the hose due to the fact I would be handing it off in an OOA situation and using the AIR2 myself. That way it's not extra hose hanging off to potentially snag. That is the reason I plan...

Regulator Cleaning - are ultrasonic cleaners any good ?

don't take that as being the fault of the cleaner. It's the dim bulb that put it in there. It sens ultrasonic waves into the item. If the item isn't solid, it will move around millions of times. it's only natural that tiny gears will shift. They clean small items with caked on gunk...

    attaching hoses to regulators

Regulator Cleaning - are ultrasonic cleaners any good ?

I would not put an assembled reg into an ultrasonic. I have seen Rolex watchmakers use ultrasonics to clean watches, and they're fully disassembled. I have seen gunsmiths use ultrasonics to clean guns, and they're fully disassembled. Speaking to the watchmakers, they told me that putting a watch...

    Hoses and Mouthpieces?

thanks for the clarifications. On the mouthpieces, I was really wondering if all the brands that don't have multiple size options fit all different brand regs since they don't have multiple sizes like the seacure. As far as my second question. I mean this...
