I've been seizure free and off meds for 18 years. Before that I had about 4 dozen seizures over the span of 9 yrs. I've been diving for a while now
I'd say be very conservative. I have a lot of scars on my head from hitting the ground. Having a seizure under water would be real bad. Just be...
I had the opposite too. I'm used to dry suit diving on low vis on Northern California.
I did a few dives in Hawaii a couple years ago. I remember looking up from about 80 feet and being able to see the boat. I thought Holy Crap! That's far away!
I did all the stuff DBailey said and I've improved my sac rate 3 fold in my 80 dives. I also find it's hugely beneficial to start mentally preparing for a dive a few days before by going through my gear with a check list (ask your buddy to do the same), plan the dive early, visualize what you...
I'm glad I saw this post. My S100 has the dreaded lense error message. I could get it fixed for $160 plus shipping and 6 weeks and it could happen again. Or I could get an S110 for $250 and still use my current housing.
I find being able to navigate effectively makes diving even

Bonaire's rules/suggestions are good to follow any place you dive in my opinion. I've never understood the need to pick up and mess with the sea critters. Just leave them alone.
What if you bring your own line that could attach to the boat, lower your tanks over the side and hook them up in the water.? Basically take care of it yourself. I would call ahead and discuss with the captain myself before doing that though.
I haven't side mounted yet. This is on my list in about a year and a half or so. I like the idea of clipping the tanks to a line and attaching the tanks in the water rather than having someone hand them down to me. I'd be pretty afraid I might drop my tank. Is there anyway you can clip the tank...
I'm going to be camping in the primitive area on the beach at Perdido Key next weekend. We're going to be around from Thursday the 4th until Sunday the 6th.
I'd love to do a couple shore dives one day. Anyone interested? PM me and we can make arrangements to meet up.
Thanks!
