Andros Island dive shops that deliver?

When you say southern part do you mean North Andros or South Andros? They are really two different islands. I believe there is only one dive operation on each and you would have to take a cab to them. The one on North Andros is Small Hope Bay. I dove with them in May and had a great time.

    Diving North of Bimini

There isn't much diving north of Bimini. It is mostly shallow with low profile. There are some nice mid depth reefs in the Gingerbread Grounds about 35 nm east.

    Aquacat liveaboard

I have done the Aqua Cat several times and would rate everything a 10. Large cabins and dive deck. The food is too good, I add 5lbs every trip. The crew has always been great. I love the diving especially the shark dive, the Washing Machine & the Blue Hole.

Need help finding website or liveaboards available for 100% private charter.

My brother & I have taken our families on the Cat Ppalu twice. The first trip we didn't dive that much due to the ages of the kids. We spent more time visiting some of the many beautiful beaches. The last trip our kids were older and we dove a lot, including the shark dive.

Best diving in the Bahamas on March?

March has some of the best visibility of the year due to low plankton levels. Most places you dive in the Bahamas have shark dives. If you are looking for best value, Blackbeard's Cruises would give you that. It operates liveaboards out of Nassau. You could also cat Discover Cruise lines...

    Trip in August

A number of land-based operations & liveaboards do shark dives, but the only ones diving with tiger sharks are a couple liveaboards out of Florida.

    Andros

I think the only current place to dive is with Small Hope Bay. It is a great resort. They get a lot of non-divers who have a great time. There is a nice beach with snorkeling not too far off shore.

Water temp. and wetsuit in April?

The very cold winter has driven water tempetures down to the low 70's but the recent warm weather has water temperatures warming up quickly. I think you can expect temperatures of 75 to 77. How much wetsuit you need really depends upon you, but probably somewhere between 3mm & 5mm.

Mayaguana trip report, Nekton Rorqual 3/20-3/27

Diadema or long-spinned sea urchins died off in 1983, but are coming back now, at least on shallower reefs. The algae is microdycton marinum or network algae. It only grows in areas where there is no polution in the water like the southern Bahamas where the water flows in directly from the...

    Blackbeards Exuma?

I did a trip with them there last summer. I thought the diving was great, especially the walls and the shark dive. The drift dives were a nice change of pace. We only had one dive site with a lot of lionfish, the Blue Hole. We did see a few others at other sites but the most was 2 and...
