Bali has so many different dive sites around the island. I have been there once and stayed at one place all the time which I regret, most people I met only stayed a day or two then went to another place on their rented motorcykle.
For example you can see the big mantas and mola mola in the...
After my first trip I decided to buy the gear that I found I could not rent in good quality and size such as wetsuite, booties, mask and computer. Until now I have been able to rent BC:s and regulators in good condition and could find a size suitable for me and will not buy this gear in a little...
My photography skills is probably good enough, my DSLR is usually in my hand I know how to use it. Takes many thousand pictures every year and I put a lot effort in knowing how to use the camera and what the camera needs me to do with it to make a good picture. I am lazy on uploading but here...
During my last trip to Bali I brought a camera to make some photos of my sitings under water. After the first dive I realized that I did barely have a single sharp photo, talked to the guide and he told me to be more calm and slow and keep much more focus on my buoyancy. During the first dive I...
I tried something similar in Shanghai, swimming next to Nurse sharks in a controlled way and knowing they where fed was a really nice thing, at first my heart did some extra laps when the sharks just passed a few foot away but after a while I calmed down and it just felt awesome! They also had...

We travveled out from Shanghai in the 4 October with Korean Arilines, very good company...

Sounds like you are doing good!
Voted "I need my fins to survive"
Because, ofc I can swim, I can swim and rescue someone too but I am not that relaxed and smooth in the water, if I got lost at sea (if no wetsuite or other stuff) and had to swim without at least fins I think I would not make it many hours until I got too...
:shocked2: What a great group of dive partners... :shakehead:
No buddy assignment or one that was less than observant of his buddy... I cannot imagine how this can happen, pretty often it seems like, that a group gets back to a boat and there realize that someone is missing...!
Reports coming here on Scubaboard now and then..
Some equipment that can be good is
SMB
Whistle
Light
Mirror
Other noise signaling device
But mainly, a good dive plan that is communicated to the captain, using guides whenever it is new waters and being generally careful and dont dive...
I had huge problems in the beginning but after some training on land between the dives I figured out what is the way for me (it was to pinch nose, put some presure by blowing through the nose and while keeping the pressure, swallow) later on I learned and now it is easier and I do not need to...
