There are many dive sites shallower than 60 feet that are awesome. Any good shop will accommodate a nitrox request with a day or two of notice...a REALLY good shop will accommodate the request on the spot. But I only know of one or two that can do that. So I highly recommend you request...

Seems like just semantics to me. It could easily be said that PADI/NAUI/CMAS (and all the others) don't certify either. The instructor certifies and verifies the student's training to the agency who then sends a card. PADI: 1. Instructor conducts the training 2. Instructor verifies training...

That would be good for wreck "dry runs." You can penetrate the wreck and still be able to talk to your students. And since you're not really diving, who's to say you can't have a pint with you while you do the training. haha.

There are some divers who enjoy the "full service" offered by some dive shops. I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm one of those divers. When I take a day off from work (or I'm on vacation) to go diving, I have no problem with my divemaster taking my gear to the boat for me, pulling my gear out...
