I recently bought a custom made DUI dry suit after struggling with a Whites Fusion suit. It is supposed to fit all body shapes but not true! Diving my DUI has made a huge difference in my drysuit diving. I can feel the bubble much better and do not have excess material in my arms legs and torso...
Sounds like you had a great day. What are the water temps for the 7mm? Sometimes I think it's wiser just to put it the money and buy a drysuit. Or you could've like me and have a 1mm, 2/3 mm, 5 mm, 7mm and a dry suit . I thinks we could start a dive shop from our basement since my hubby has...
I average about 50 dives a year which I think is pretty good given that local diving is affectionately called ice tea diving coz northern lakes are cold dark and the color of ice tea. As well my job doesn't allow for much mid week. It's sometimes hard to get motivated to go for a dive in a lake...
Sounds fantastic NWG. Was telling Sam you also need to dive the Nautilus Swell Nautilus Swell Ship Accommodation, diving, galley and specifications in Browning Pass We were on last year and are booked to dive again this October as well as Alaska in Aug 2013. It's fantastic even if it was the...
Before I got my dry suit I dove a few times in my 7 mm wetsuit at Whytecliff park. We did 2 dives and it was bearable with water around 50F. A good trick is to put hot water in old milk jugs, put them in a cooler adn bring it to rinse yourself off between and after dives. Makes a world of...
Thank you OP for this thread! I have about 10 dives in my Fusion and another 12 dives in a tri lam. From the get go I have struggled with buoyancy, made even more frustrating by the fact my husband has no problem!
We have worked hard to get weights correct being a natural floater but we also...
I also suggest 49th Parallel Divers (Scuba Diving british Columbia the Boeing 737 on Vancouver Island BC) who is based out of Thetis Island which is near Nanaimo and he will come over to Chemainus to pick you up.
We have dived with him several times and are planning anohter in Octobr - really...
The past week was my first salt water dives with my Fusion. They went very well and I am really impressed with the suit - not a leak and very comfortable.
The only problem is that I did not use any sunscreen because I was unsure about the effect sunscreen will have on my latex neck seals. I...
Being a new dry suit diver I dove in a Bare Nex Gen and a Whites Fusion - my husband and I both bought the Fusion. Initially I thought it would be a challenge to get into but I quickly learned the best method and it is a self donning suit.
I only have about 8 dives in it but I really like it...
A few thoughts.....
1. a 3mm wetsuit is warmer than the "hybrid" 2/3 because of the warmer arms and legs
2. I bought the pearl i3 after my 4 certification dives and I used it in Australia warm water diving s well as dry suit diving now. For Christmas last year I was gifted a Zuma BC which is...
My husband bought me the Zuma for a recent dive trip to Australia and I loved it. We were in some surge as well as current and I didn't have a problem at all.
I would highly recommend it - easily took 16 lbs of weight as well
We were there diving in March. I wore my 2/3 plus a sharkskin top and was often cool at the end of the dive - I also wore a hood, gloves and booties.
Clovelly was a great dive though - we did it at night. :)
In simple terms, air exchange occurs in the alveoli. When we breath in there is more O2 than CO2 in the alveoli so the O2 leaks into the capillaries and binds to red blood cells and CO2 goes into the alveoli and is exhaled. The purpose of breathing is to keep the oxygen concentration high and...
Not really sure where the change was except in the title of the forum which i too found hard to read and had to adjust my laptop screen repeatedly to in fact read it.
I like RJP's suggestion of the order change as well.
I usually look in new posts and have not found any change there...Am I...
