Suunto Ocean - inertial underwater 'navigation'!

A compass would only work for route recording if was held in the same position relative to your heading for the whole dive,

    Belize Aggressor IV mooring breaks

Murphy’s 14th law says anything that needs to be done to a boat will always take longer than planned and cost at least double the budget. A great man Murphy, people. Only remember him for what can go wrong, will go wrong and at the worst possible time

    Source needed for 1800psi working

Not trying to start a fight, I am just being overly pedantic, but I can think of at least another two countries where burst discs are mandatory. Australia and New Zealand. You can buy valves with burst discs in Singapore,so I am guessing they are not prohibited there.

The weather was against us at at Edithburgh jetty, only one dive in with no LSD, but got two dives in at Rapid Bay Jetty with LSD both dives, I can recommend SeaDragon Lodge, for a good guide and accommodation. I you are looking at...

What's the craziest thing you ever found?

32 lbs of lead is lot, sounds to me like somebody on a one way trip to the bottom dropping their speargun so they had two arms to try and swim up with then dropping their weight belt.

Techniques for boat diving without surface support

As a former zodiac owner (Futura MK 11) my main concern is how is the bow cleat attached to the boat. Is it glued on, is it held into the fibreglass with self tapping screws or is is bolted on through the fibreglass with large washers underneath the glass. Anything that is glued on will...

Why do divers wear bathing suits under wetsuit?

It is a lot easier to discreetly remove a 2 or 3 mm wetsuit than a 7 mm,even without the rocking crowded dive boat to contend with
