    Trip planning advice

Good review of the property and operation. Being so far north how long were the day trips, eg, departure to return. Having a non diving spouse our go to place has been Grand Cayman.. usual pickup by our op around 7:30, return around noon. Also those prices sound high, even by Cayman prices...

    Hotel Cozumel or Casa Mexicana

I was at Wyndham a few weeks ago. There was a profound diesel smell all week. A trip advisor search showed that others previously noticed it as well. Maybe some construction nearby? Our room did not have any dresser/credenza or night tables.. only a fridge. That was a huge PIA. Everything...

    Rental computers and newer divers

The 3 button Suunto’s were pretty good for navigating functions, the 4 button model’s (Vyper 2) were a challenge.

    eSIMs for Cozumel- recommendations

It worked fine for me for data and messaging but took some faffing around to activate it once I got to my destination. Mostly on me since I’m not that savvy with various cellular settings etc.

Question Are You Tired of the Taxi Ripoff?

Our hotel had a posted rate of 200 P to airport. I asked the driver how much. He says 250. I say sign says 200. He says “is old sign”. 50 P is roughly 4 bucks. I wasn’t going to haggle over 4 bucks. I figure I’m fortunate go to Mexico and he’s working hard to earn a living, it’s very...

First ever picture of a new born white shark ?

I always wonder where the juvenile or newborn critters are-e.g. turtles, eagle rays, sharks, morays etc. I saw a tiny hammerhead once, roughly 15 cm or so but it was on my fishing lure Naples Fla.

    Dive Computer advice please

Another couple of benefits of a Peregrine are unmatched customer service compared to any dive product company. The 2 button user interface is so simple and intuitive you could probably figure the basics out on your own sitting on the couch. I used to have Suunto Vyper 2 and zoop, very...
