Thanks for the replies. I think I am going to something like this, but not as clunky...
Surface Survival Primer
See the section where they mount the pack on the cam-band.
Meh - they wouldn't be for a quick emergency (such as entanglement) - those devices would all still be within arms reach. I'm thinking more towards the "oh crap, the boat left without me!" scenario. I think there would be time to access such items than.
Hmmm - has anyone ever made an "emergency" kit that they strap to their tank? I'm thinking 1 of 2 things - either get some PVC pipe and make some storage tubes to strap to the tank, or - get a couple of straps that look like lead shot weight belts and use those as "tank pockets" to store some...
OK - I know this is an old thread. I appreciate all of the advice provided here. However, one thing that I don't understand is - where do you tote all of this stuff when you are on your dive?????
Thanks for joining and writing here!
One thing that I'd definitely like to see are more photos of the actual product. The video is nice, but it doesn't really show too many close up shots. Can you post more photos?
I understand and don't disagree - but they are a niche market. I want the general scuba market to have computers like this. The larger manufacturers (ie, Suunto, Oceanic, Uwatec, etc) need to start stepping up to the plate!
It is, but we need manufacturers to start utilizing tech that's out there to produce something that isn't a gameboy any more! Considering its the first of its kind, its not surprising the price is high - but if more companies start producing quality products like this than competition would...
The Uemis Zurich! I know there was 1 other thread about this thing a while back, but MAN this is beautiful!

I wish that engineers would stop making bland dive computers. We have...
I see that Mares is going to release the Icon HD later this year. What else is out there around the same price point that's in color?
Its now 2009, I wish more manufacturers started to take advantage of the tech that's available out there!
We are going to Dominica next week - trying to plan how much money to bring. Also - is it better to bring local currency, or american dollars?
I know the exchange rate is 1:2.7 or something close, so I know I can get more money, but can I get more with it, or is it more expensive?
Actually, scuba.com had the best divers jon line with clip for $29, not bad considering the alternatives....
I just ended up buying a deepoutdoors jon line from ebay for $25....No big deal. It would have taken me more time to find someone to sew it up for me. I am going diving in the keys...
I was going to order the "Best Divers" jon line from scuba.com, but they are back ordered until Dec. I can get the clips, D-rings, and webbing - however, how does one work with the webbing (ie, how would I make loops for the D-rings and clips???).
Yep - and vulcanization is irreversible. Although, there is a company that is working on that. Whomever finds the secret of de-vulcanization will get the keys to the castle!
