Dove Ginnie Springs on Saturday and hit Devil's Den on Sunday. These were dives 11-13 for me - started with about 8 hours bottom time. I did all right at Ginnie Springs, I'm not so sure that I was ready for a cavern even if it was the ballroom. I didn't hit my head or kick up too much silt...

Thanks! I think we've opted to go to Ginnie Springs on Sat and then maybe blue grotto or devils den on Sunday. Maybe both if we can swing it.

Why harass the animals? You make them more skittish for the rest of us that just want to observe. Not to mention, that's how gloves get banned from dive sites. :facepalm:

Does anyone know if there's a way to check if Blue Springs is closed for diving because of manatees, aside from trying to call the park? Thanks!

Dove it a couple weeks ago, only saw two other divers, I was there when the gates opened. The park was full by the time we left, probably 10:30am. There's a pretty long hike from the parking lot to the dive point. I had trouble getting down into the spring because of the current.

Dove Saturday and went west under the pedestrian bridge. Saw a scorpion fish and some brown things that looked like nudibranches, but I wasn't sure. Oh also spotted about 1,000 jellyfish, mostly by them slamming into my face and hands.

I'll be back at the bridge on the 30th, doing Peak Performance Buoyancy class there.

We dived this site for the first time July 26/27, pretty amazing. Looking forward to going back, all I managed to see were a few starfish and a couple sea robins (excluding the larger fish).

I'm in Orlando and also looking for some excursions.
