Unlike Freewillow and some others, as a recreational diver I would not buy a petrel because of it's lack of AI. I am interested in the H3 but will wait until the AI feature is available. My first computer was not AI and I ended up trading of for one that has AI.

The support offered by Macdive is pretty good. email them. Usually you will hear back in a couple of hours. It's probably something very simple. I had a small problem and it was fixed quickly by emailing them.

Good suggestion for Mac software would be MacDive MacDive It lists the Cobalt and Cobalt 2. My oceanic computers work on it very well.

Your choice. However, if I lose my method of measuring my tank pressure, I am going to end the dive. You may think differently and that is your decision. On a recreational dive, such as I do, I would surface and resolve the issue before diving again.
