I met Apple several times when she came here to CO for an annual event put on by the Dive shop I use. She was a Grand Lady.
Mine is the 11" Macbook Air. For traveling it is great, thin and light. The Flash memory has worked great for me. I like the idea of no moving parts or anything that might be exposed to salt air or humidity. It's just right when you are in cramped or smaller spaces yet is good to work on.
You can also access it by hovering your cursor over you name at the top. A box will drop down, click on conversations. If you do that you will also need to enter the persons Scubaboard name you are starting a conversation (PM) with.
You can click on the avatar of the person you want to PM. A profile box will pop up. Look for "start a conversation" and click on it.
Another box will pop up, enter the subject, tab down and type your PM. Click on send.
I have been to AKR, we spent the time at the resort and on the last day before flying out went to town. The bar there is a nice place to have a cocktail or 2. There are night dives offered and also an evening on the Key with crab races, limbo contest, fire dancers(when we were there) and other...
A close friend of mine was friends with Barb and her husband. He called me today asking if I had seen anything about this. I gave him the link to this thread.
He has heard, though it is not confirmed, that this accident may have been due to equipment failure. He hasn't yet been in contact...
My wife has severe asthma. She cannot dive. I am relegated to diving with a unknown buddy. Though I have been on a couple of group trips and had the same buddy for a whole week. That has always worked out okay for me.
