Hel. yes I want one of these, looks so Discovery like ... really cool for getting to enjoy the underwater world while still dry.

I did the two courses with different people and about 20-30 dives apart... so it was very different course, the first really the introduction then the second to do more, learn more and become a standard diver, before then you really are on L-plates.

you wonder why they even bothered... but I guess it becomes the cheep version in the range and many people don't hook to a computer to down load the details. I used to but now I play back the profile and play join the dots on my custom made dive log. Works great - instant profiles.

Ok the trip was canceled, and it's now planned for January.. but managed to squeeze in one dive during my wifes companies weekend trip to Bintan, Indonesia. We stayed at Club Med and I did one shore dive, nothing special, not very deep not much to see, one sting ray, 2 eels, and some fish ...

Think I'll take a spare hose with me, and some basic tools so I can change if needed. It seems that the 1/2 port causes way more problems than it might have been intending to solve.

Lucky I ask questions, what is deep water blackout .. I've heard aobut shallow water black outs but not deep, is this any thing to do with oxygen toxicity?

Nice outcome, customer care counts a long way towards repeats and referals. I have received all my Halcyon gear in great condition and have never had the need to return any thing (touch wood).

as part of the next steps of my training I'm doing advanced nitrox and deco procedures. with this we go to 45m. is this classified as "deep"? I realise that in an ideal world we would only dive with nitrox to 30m and trimix beyond 30m. But training is a step by step effort and it seems...

Totaly agree... extra mile and all. but Fahrenheit is just silly .... start at -32 = 0 or something like that...

Force fins rock, they have great speed and are good for hovering and moving into wrecks. Highly recomended. Try a pair today. Some people say they look strange but they look cool, not everyone's cool enought to dig exciting colours and radical design that works.

Chris, I know about the drought first hand, as we have a few boats on the lake and they keep moving us around do to the water getting lower and lower. We also had a friend on the famers irrigation board and so we get figures from time to time as to how low it might go. I believe at 6% they can...

they maybe slightly angled up but I don;t think it will be that much ... will have a look on Saturday when I go to the dive shop to get the bungie's added to my force fins.
