I like to use my blue light because it's just right you know? Blue is all there is to it... nothing else can do. Also I always tightenit to my bc... don't ever trust those wrist bands... they're by the devil! the devil I tell ya! This gotta be one of the most interesting and pointless post...

    Pro Force Fins?

Not a force fin fans here, but lots of people like it so it must be some good. Produced locally here at SB and definately a comfortable choice for new fins. Their designs seem indestructable.

    Know one of these guys?

Yea... talkers usually don't do much other than talking... I'm just lucky I haven't met many of them yet and never got aquainted to one either. Still, if a diver is truly experienced, knowledgeable, capable, and filled with awesome stories, I don't see why they should be humble about it, haven't...

    choices choices choices!!

If you don't have any problem buying a z2, you might as well go for the b2, not much differences between them.

    Here's a mad idea.

Yes, and you can also try raincoats, they come in the brilliant yellowcolor that would make you look NOT like a safety sausage:D, and I suggest you put a few extra layers for the wear and tear thing.

    Mares fin comparrison

Yea... or a pair of bluewater freediving fins, your poolmates might not like you much after one game, but damn those things are fast. Burns through a snicker bar like that too! ::snap fingers::

    Hydrophobia... go scuba?

Thanks for the input people, and of course if the person is very well motivated then I think nonone in the dive profession has the right to turn them away. Still, as some people have mentioned, maybe they should go through some rudimentary swimming classes before trying on scuba? Just another...

    Hydrophobia... go scuba?

I think someone should start calling the American psychological Society and ask them to stop sending hydrophobic and hydro-traumatized individuals to scuba shops. I mean... shouldn't they start their fear-overcoming journey by, let's say, combing the beach first? Frankly, I find it a little too...

    Teen Daughter Draging Her Feet

If he does, I might actually start questioning the integrity of this activity... j/k But really even if he does get into diving, it's probably not gonna help much since it's been quite a few years since I've met anyone who's into him. (In situation like this, it is very probable that Marilyn...

New diver. Can equipement be rented without a card?

I remember this once how a friend of mine realized he forgot his c-card when he got to the boat, so he simply made up a few numbers and because he dove with me and this other guy who's on this boat all the time, noone ever questioned him the next dive during dives. So then I came to this...

    Mares fin comparrison

If you're free diving, then it's generally better to go stiff because you get more power and sudden acceleration= good for hunting and bringing up a 200lb white sea bass. But as for scuba, sudden acceleration means that you might be going into the vicious cycle of over-exertion, sucking air...

    Fishing pole found in Guam

Fishing poles heh? Just did an underwater cleanup at a local pier with my club... we had about 8 divers and we came up with a total of 5 real fishing poles with intact marine grade barss/aluminum wreels in brand-new condition as well as 2 spongebob toy poles that don't really work anymore...

    website advice

The BC does NOT look like one by a major manufacturer. Then again, if you look at the gears they sell, it's mainly Genesis. Now if I see some other brands like Mares, Scubapro, Aqualung, or Sherwood BESIDES Genesis, then it's acceptable. But Having only Genesis on display really doesn't say much...

    Tank diving

I volunteered at the Long Beach(CA) Aquarium of the Pacific. Like many aquaria, the place is closed circuit, so the only personal gears allowed are masks and wetsuits, eventhough they still offer those in some sizes(not mine). For volunteering, we basically clean tanks and feed the fish...

    Which Regulator?

I'd go with envoy of all the choices in that price range. Had some unpleasant experiences with Oceanic regs (zeta and omega), and though proton's a decent reg, and extremely easy to be worked on, Mares' one-warehouse-in-the-whole-frikin-nation thing really makes its costumer service a great pain.

    Panic Attacks?

I don't know if I'm speaking for everyone, but everytime I'm down at depth, there's always a slight sense of agititation(fear, though not exactly). Kinda like feeling "something doesn't seemed right" with your sixth sense. So in a sense every dive I did kinda has some element of panic, still I...

SOS! Any Diving Math Teachers out there?

I'd say try the PADI encyclopedia physics section. It has some entry level math, but not that detailed as compared to research papers or online articles.
