I have recently seen a 156 with a satin finish cover and chrome band clamps. It seems that there was some mix and matching going on with these regs. But was it done by the factory? Hmm...
Thanks for that info!
I have a chrome balanced adjust in like new condition. I think I will take the printed ring off and replace it with a chrome 109 ring when I dive with it.
I wonder what year they switched to satin finish? My chrome second stage came with the original parts list/diagram and...
No cracks, splits, missing pieces or any other problems. They have been well taken care of and not abused. They have bronze swivel fittings and the bungy cord can be adjusted or easily replaced when it wears out.
For $50 you can't go wrong.
I'll post pics after work. These come in an adjustable one size fits all. Note that these are not scuba fins. The FF website has these listed as one of their military fins. They are listed as the all around best fin for swim, and fitness training. They would probably be good for body boarding...
My understanding is you are qualified to dive the deepest an instructor taken the you. My AOW was to 140' on a wreck (actually two wrecks laying next to each other, one wreck from WWI and the other from WWII) but my instructor put down 130' in my log book so he wouldn't get in any trouble ;-)
My instructor was an independant that I knew from work. He taught because he liked teaching people to dive and didn't charge for anything but course materials. He made no money off my OW or AOW training and did it for the love of introducing people to scuba.
I have not experienced training in a...
I had excellent PADI OW and AOW training so no complaints there. What I will complain about is that I was given the brush off by three different shops in a row when I was looking to take Rescue a couple years after. They all asked me if I was working towards becoming an instructor. When I said...
I never tried it in the water but I do a lot of magnet fishing for dropped tools in my engine compartment when I work on my car. There is still a socket somewhere in my front fender I can't get though.
I like to metal detect and magnet fishing sounds like it may be useful for removing trash...
I took AOW right after OW. They really should be combined into one course IMO. But then not as many people would qualify for certification and that means less $$$ for the dive industry.
