What's the most popular tank size?

So if I went with an HP Steel tank, would I need to change my reg. from yoke to Din to handle the extra pressure?

What's the most popular tank size?

Everything is starting to make sense... So I should get no less than 100CF. I was always leaning towards steal, so no surprise there. No HP or LP? I did read about the adventages and disadventages for both... But what's more popular? It seems that LP is more convenient... I doubt I will go...

What's the most popular tank size?

That's actually what I was thinking to get. I agree, it may not. But I do like having my own equipment, actually I should say I like taking care of my own equipment. I do plan to dive quite a bit in the future, living in L.A makes it easy. And I do own my reg. and BC already...

What's the most popular tank size?

I am about to buy my first tank, not very experienced with scuba diving... So my question is what's the most popular size? is it the 80 cf? Should I go HP or LP? What do most people use? I just want to make sure I don't run out of air before my buddy is ready to come up... don't want to spoil...

You have GOT TO BE KIDDING!- New Aqualung BC

Some of you are really too much...lol. You are making it out to be this "very complicated system"... From the user point of view you have either 2, yes only 2 buttons(Mares) or one lever. One goes down the other goes up. Now that's really complicated is it??? From an engineering point of view...

You have GOT TO BE KIDDING!- New Aqualung BC

I am really surprised to see so many people criticizing if not mocking a product they have never tried or even seen. How about being a little open minded??? Or at least giving those companies the benefit of the doubt. I think anyone should be praised to create something new and different wether...

    Dry glove basics

I don't know much about dry gloves, but I recently read an article about divers in Antartica....They were saying that that after testing quite a few gloves, the best they found were gloves that are design for mixing cement. According to the website, they were the most reliable (strong) and...

    Mares Morphos or Icon?

You are lucky... I will do more research and see if I can find a store that does that. I don't know any, but it doesn't mean there isn't one. Thanks for the constructive advices/comments... I guess the first BC is probably the hardest piece of equipment to buy, since I don't have enough...

    Breathing from freeflowing reg

Newbie question? I did practice breathing from a freeflowing reg. in my OW class, however reading threw this post, 2 questions came to my mind: 1/ is free flowing a problem with the 1st stage or the second stage(I thought it was a 2nd stage problem)? 2/ If it is a second stage problem, then why...

    Isotherm 2006 vs 2007

Also it would be great if you could give us more info on what semi dry means and what we can expect exactly. I have read a lot about semi dry suits, but I am still confuse since some people claim they were pretty much "dry" after diving when other claim they weren't. Which one is it exactly. And...

    Mares Morphos or Icon?

I do agree with you that I would have to show my dive buddy where and how the oral inflator works, and probably a quick tutorial on the airtrim system as well. But all of it is pretty easy, not much Rocket science there... As far as heavy swells, I can't tell for sure of course, but the oral...

    Mares Morphos or Icon?

Actually, I disagree...I had the Morphos for a week (before sending it back) and the "oral inflator" is actually very easy to use and work quite well. And yes, the Morphos Ltd has the Airtrim system, and the price is very low right now.

    Mares Morphos or Icon?

So I just sent back my brand new Mares Morphos Ltd edition. Reason: I bought a Large, and as it turn out needed a Medium. This weekend I saw the New Mares Icon, and I am starting to wonder If I shouldn't get the Icon instead? I like the fact that the Icon seem to be less bulky. But it is $200...

    Elements or Photoshop CS2?

Actually neither. You should get Apple Aperture if you have a Mac or check out Adobe Dark Room if you have a PC. Those will be much better for color corrections.

    Different Shape SCUBA Tanks

I agree, but it would make it very expensive. Also you want aminimum if no welding at all, which the present scuba tank offer.
