Putting drying drops into your ears after diving is usually a good idea. It may help with ear infections, and it helps prevent swimmers ear. As far as your ears, is it only underwater when you "hear" this?

I usually inflate my BC enough that it is noticable. Then again, I usually put it on in the water, so I want it to float (it is integrated). I know this isn't always going to be possible, but everywhere I have dove so far it has been.

On about our 5th ocean dive, we had to back roll in. There were 6 of us, and none of us had ever done one. I asked the divemaster how to do one, and told her we were all new. Since she had already had a good dose of our senses of humor, she picked up my feet and flung me overboard!

There were (10 yrs. ago) a few in Manhattan (college credit for dive courses). I don't know where they do their OW at though. I know there is one in Lawrence, and several in KC, however those are quite a way from Ft. Riley.
