I switched from the 7' long hose to a 5' when I ditched the can light, mostly because it was easier to not have to tuck the extra two feet without a battery canister to hold the excess.
Before that for quite a while I used a 40" hose w/ 90° elbow. For recreational dives I could probably go...
Yeah, it's a shame you can't switch the mode to record in HD or downres the 4K video to HD... ;)
I can remember guys saying > 1 MP digital cameras were overkill since the 1024x768 monitors of the day couldn't display the full image...
Her AI computer wouldn't work without being connected to the HP hose?
So people can leave their reg set in a dive locker but take their dive computer back to their room (to download dives, keep their expensive dive computer from walking away, etc.)
Necrothread alert! :rofl3:
The 360° swivels just aren't of a robust design, IMO. I don't think that's changed much over time.
If you dive with a 40" hose routed under your right arm, one of the 90° elbows what I'd recommend. If you are diving the long hose and want some strain relief as...
What does DIR have to do with any of this? It wasn't a DIR diver. It wasn't a DIR dive. When was it ever DIR to not have your equipment in good working order?
I bring my mask, reg set and dive computer in my carry on luggage on the way down, simply because I'd hate to find myself on a dive trip without it. Anything else can be bought/rented/borrowed. On the way back, everything goes in checked luggage.
+1.
OP, the cargo hold has to be at the same...
I freaking loved how s-l-o-w-l-y I could add air with that ss Eclipse inflator. But unreliable gear is unreliable, and a self inflating inflator is an accident waiting to happen.
The 90° elbow works really well with the primary on a 40" hose under the right arm. I used that configuration for my open water rig for quite a long time, until I eventually replaced it with the 5 foot hose (which I prefer for air sharing drills). Frankly, at that level, it's not a big deal as...
If your moderators don't even know your policies, they're probably not worth having. Otherwise, how will they have a standard to moderate to? Can't get any more simple than that.
ETA: Off the top of my head, I can't think of an activity more defined by...
Sheck would have been "moderated" under this policy. Just sayin'...

Speaking as someone who spends an inordinate amount of his work life dealing with policies, procedures and standards. You guys might want to review how it is...
You aren't "running low on air quickly" you are "using up your air quickly".
Kill the motor. Quiet hands and quiet feet will make the most immediate difference. I'd bet you are finning without even realizing it, and probably sculling with your hands as well. Literally cross your arms and...
All I said was that there was more to being a self sufficient diver than just slinging a pony bottle. Not sure how you equate that to "cussin' & discussin'"... Do you always carry on complete conversations in your head?
