    Air Buddy - My thoughts

All I can say is... The site honestly scares me.. I know this scuba stuff is lower volume and not mass-marketed and such, but... My capitalistic instincts ring serious alarms when I consider buying life support equipment from a site with Jr High level writing style (in my opinion) and cheap...

    15-days countdown to SoCal diving again - Can't wait for 15 & 16 OCT 10

I was totally looking forward to meeting you folks, but.. Alas.. Ear infection :p I had some equalizing issues last Saturday, it seemed to get better the next morning, but each morning after that it kept feeling weirder and weirder, equalizing definitely sounded and felt much different from...

    Tethered Wrist Consoles? Air Integrated?

I couldn't tell... Until he said the word 'ACME', heh. I would personally go with wireless.. All the anti-wireless talk seems to be coming 99% from the people who either bought a cheap crappy wireless or have never tried it. (but it's a lot of money.. It is important to be sure about your...

    Air3 on BP/W setup

Thanks for taking the time to read my long post. I try not to dangle, but sometimes the octo pops out of the stupid strap in the rental jackets, etc. Either way- it's one less hose to worry about, and that will always be a benefit to me. May I ask what prevents stowing the extra length of...

    Air3 on BP/W setup

I can't sleep tonight, so I'll post :p Well, let me ask some questions and make some inexperienced-diver observations.. please correct me if I'm wrong (And please not in that crazed psycho style response people tend to enjoy in this forum). First of all.. I think it's nice when I first saw...

    Air3 on BP/W setup

Rofl.. Wow... It's amazing how you guys find ways to argue about EEEEEEEverything (even sometimes when you agree with each other!) Good info, though :) And a ton of.. potentially useful.. potential situations.. I suppose. I'd like to add I met someone who's selling me his old gear and...

Lost and a question of ethics

That totally sucks.. Even though this thread is pretty old, hehe. The way I see it.. I would be annoyed, but I wouldn't feel as though I had the 'right' to be angry with her, considering I lost the knife in the first place.. But she definitely wouldn't earn any respect in my book. Nor the DM...

Cynical 'Faux Tech' Marketing = Dive Industry Shame

Ha! I was wondering when we would revive this thread (although it wasn't quite dead yet.). I wanted to mention I had just purchased those EXACT SAME shears at my LDS yesterday :) NASA Escape Tool - Universaldistributors.us The funniest part.. You can actually see in his pics where he...

new diver needs buddy this wknd

Hey guys! I've already posted in divevets, but maybe I should look at trying here as well :) I'm brand new(Just certified last weekend), and just itching to get back into that ocean, so I will probably have some questions and require some guidance. I'd also require a buddy that doesn't mind...

    Recommendations for wetsuits anyone?

Just more options for you to get overloaded on. I haven't heard much myself about Eagle Reef, but I'm sure they are good. JMJ and Horizon are some options I'm considering. They are both local, and I've heard good things, especially about JMJ. JMJ Wetsuits Horizon Wetsuits Scuba Diving Surfing...

    Recommendations for wetsuits anyone?

You'll probably get some good info here, and you can try searching online or searching the forums for even more info. One of the sites I got some great info, if you haven't seen it already, was SCUBA Knowtes, Home Good luck! A lot of options out there.. A lot of varying opinions, too :p

    I'd like some opinions :)

Are the more expensive ones usually for extra insulation, while the cheaper are just to make putting it on easier? I'd probably be going more for the latter. And also not stripping down to my boxer briefs in the parking lot :D Thanks! :) Don't worry. I was planning on going really, really...

    I'd like some opinions :)

This may be long.. shorter version below for those who don't like to read :p Hello, I am newly certified and have recently decided my first (larger) purchase will probably be exposure protection. I have read through the forums and gotten a lot of opinions and great information that has...

    Thresher shark @ Vets

Too bad about the vis.. I had just finished my fourth OW cert dive and my instructor asked if anyone wanted to go down again; two of us did. So we wander around, go a little deeper, see some dead stuff, couple crabs. We ascend near the shoreline and walk onto the beach and I see all these...

    25 Dives since June certification

We're just going to Redondo Beach. Hopefully it's a nice entry. I heard before the sun sets, but as it gets low in the sky it's really nice to dive because everything looks 'golden'. Hehe, well, I'll just focus on actually getting certified for now :p
