    North Carolina wrecks

I dive with discovery twice a month, great operation. You'll be on the Captains Lady with Leroy (he is a great captain). You'll probably get the Papoose, Schurz, Uboat and aeolus suggested to you and hit the Indra or the Ashkabad in the way in.... Papoose has some big ol' sandtigers as does the...

Spiegel Grove sinks prematurely and upside down!!...

So we're saying 130' to the deck (side) and 160' to the sand? Thats not a bad profile........ :jester:

    TX50 Online!

I think that the HP failure was a flook, a reg of that quality has a very low instance of failure no matter what the age. Also I am pretty hard on equipment (I overfill my LP tanks ALL the time), I dive about 3 times a week and that is my back up ( I have been using it in the pool lately as...

    TX50 Online!

I bought mt TX50 from DiveINN 3 months ago and paid about 1/2 what my LDS charged. Great Reg, breathes almost TOO well!! I have a friend who has lots of deep experience who thinks they breathe "like ****" (he uses ScubaPros?!) anyway... I had a high pressure seat failure last sunday and was told...

    Dive Inn

If your LDS will not service equipment you did not buy there (or gives you a hard time about it) than they only see you as a credit card and are not interested in you as a diver... I would go to another shop at that point. I know that most shops make very little money and I believe in...

    escape and ranger

Basically the escape and Ranger are the same BC... the escape is just a "lighter" version of the ranger (less D-rings, bladder size, weight size etc.) Both of these BC's should accomodate a 7mm suit.... the weight pockets on the ranger are bigger (20lbs each I think) and that will come into play...

    Henderson Polyolefin or Microprene??

I had a broken zipper on my microprene last month at the springs. When I got back I took the suit back to my LDS and they sent it away, it was back in a week, fixed and working fine (better than before it broke actually)... needless to say I was very happy with the outcome of that situation...

    PADI Trimix

They have a good RECREATIONAL nitrox class... it teaches the most useful mixes in non deco diving.... Thats My opinion

    PADI Trimix

JIM- Your right, PADI fought nitrox but they now have a class for it (and a good one) I think that they may have seen the err in their ways and they will be on the forefront of widespread mixed gas diving... they are a large and experienced agency that will adapt to divers needs/desires...

    PADI Trimix

Give PADI a chance. If you look at the requirements you'll see they are looking for experienced instructors, that shows that they are interested in quality instruction..... It looks like a solid class to me... the apprentice lets less experienced divers learn as well... It is deep air for now...

    escape and ranger

Zeagle sells a lumber pad... I guess thats a support... the escape has rear trim weight pockets next to the tank and they can be added to the ranger...Buy the new ranger limited edition and you get all of this stuff.. I have never dove a rig2 but I love my ranger!!! Great piece of equipment!

    PADI Trimix

I read an article about a US navy study of narcosis (an old one from the 70's I think) and it said that below 100 feet 100% of the programs participants were effected by narcosis, much like alcohol that "feeling of well being" is clouding your ability to evaluate yourself..... on the other hand...

Pepsi or Coke? Safe to drink on a Dive??

I was in the keys 2 years ago and got swept off a wreck by the current and surfaced about 200 yards from the boat in 5-7 foot seas, I had mountain dew for breakfast that morning (we were in a hurry to catch the boat, okay??) needless to say I got sea sick and vomited green into my regulator...
