Good points
Its unused and stored well in store - but haven't seen it yet. Price is around 428 USD and (too) close to the same for at fresh new item.
We also consider BP/W - and will end up near or above 700 USD
Really? They aren't exactly new. I think I bought my first one, then an Octo + back in 2003 or 2004. Most of the big Scuba regulator manufacturers have some form of octo/inflator.
I can only think of two factors that may impact. The Dimension seems to wrap slightly more around the body that some that I've seen - which keeps it nice and secure, but creates a bit of an enclosed cavern between the inflated sides of the bladder. The only other thing is that I tend to dive...
I took the corrugated hose off ...held my finger over the hole and dunked it under water with air in it ...no leak ... It is in that connection ..there is no seal in there ...thinking someone took the hose off and lost whatever seals it ... I have tried fixing the leak you described on other...
I recently changed up my BPW setup and I now have this wing and cam band straps that aren't being used and could use a new home.
This is the older Scubapro X-TEK 30lb donut wing. I believe this was purchased 5-6 years ago. The wing has clearly been used, but functions as it should. No...
I'm pretty confident that it is coming from the neck area.
I'm going to do a leak test tonight, but ultimatly I think I might replace my neck seal. I need quick shipping, does anyone have a recommended seal from amazon?
Hello!
Noted a leak in the front, thought it was the inflator, unfortunately it is the backing disk. The suit is Whites Fusion Bullet, the inflator is Apeks. Searching on line, I could only find places that sale the disk in Europe. Anybody knows a place in US that might carry this item?
Thank you
Yes your right .. the "nut" does stay with the BC .. I did take it apart when I could hear the leak .. It had no seal in there .. I tried to make a seal using an old tire tube ..still leaks a little ..Dunked the shoulder fitting under water while holding my finger over the inlet hole with the BC...
I don’t see it listed on their web site so I’m guessing discontinued.
From your picture it bears resemblance to the Dive Rite TransPAC. Basically a soft “plate” and wing style setup.
The wing on the unit you pictured looks like a horseshoe but tethered at the ends. The horseshoe shape doesn’t...

You are right, it is hard to figure out the faulty place, but 99% its this inlet valve.
Ive chanded the neck seal to try if it will help but the problem persist.
Should I put some grease on valve when put it on dry suit??
Halcyon Evolve 40 for sale.
From 2011. Has the old-style rear dump valve. This has finer threads than the current model. Not compatible with using the current Halcyon SMB dump valve cover in case you need to replace it. Some old-school divers prefer this original dump valve though.
Zipper...
+1 for 720's. Just swapped mine out today (Rolock 90's). I think I got 8 or 9 months. A few leaks, but I'm rough. I bring inflatable mattress patches.
Took me all of 10 min and that was looking up the video (because I forgot), pulling apart, cleaning, adding silicone and cutting the excess...
Do a very short dive... depending on the leak rate....
Is the a wet spot on your chest only?
If you don't touch the inflator on an other dive above 5 meter its perfectly dry?
It is possible the suit flexes when when you push the button, and allows a small leak....
Do the the steps in a...
I had to look that one up... an 'octo' that leaks and causes 'inflation' problems... Didn't know there was such a thing where a secondary second stage and inflator were combined.
Lessons learned:
There actually is such a thing :)
If you have changed the actual valve it may be time to give the grommets glued to the suit a real close look. You may want to add 2 lb (1 k) and try again. Another thing you may have tried is turning the suit inside out and leak checking.
On a trip not so long ago we assembled our BCDs and my spouse says the corrugated hose connection is leaking. Yup so is mine. After the last trip I disassembled the hose so the bladder could dry out. So not to lose the gaskets I set them aside. Guess what I forgot? Fortunately, the live-a-board...
