Does anyone know the name of the plants on the bottom (kind of shaped like a Reese's cup on a stem) that some local dive guides use to help with mask fogging during dives?

I've never seen a DM use anything like that. How would they do it and wouldn't it run counter to "look but don't touch" best practices?Does anyone know the name of the plants on the bottom (kind of shaped like a Reese's cup on a stem) that some local dive guides use to help with mask fogging during dives?
Hmm, somewhat similar, but all the pictures I find of Acetabularia look more like an almost flat disc (perhaps with the edges lifted up somewhat like a martini glass), but the plant I am thinking of actually looks more like a solid Reeses cup (like an upside-down cone with the point cut off) on a stem. I'd say the cups are around half an inch (about a centimeter) deep.Acetabularia?
Thanks ColoDale, I believe that is it! SOUS LES MERS : Penicillus pyriformis - algue parasol inverséI think it's flat top bristle brush. A few times and in a pinch I have needed to use the plant you refer to when I am really fogged up. Something went wrong with defogging on the boat. I find that carrying water around in my mask does better for me.
