Sizing -- Society of Automotive Engineers AS568B is an Aerospace Standard that specifies sizes for O-rings used in sealing applications. An AS568B number is a three-digit suffix that identifies the O-ring's size. Technically, an O-ring size is listed as AS568B-016, AS568B-112, etc., but most people use just the three-digit number. The first digit denotes the O-ring cross section width: 0xx = 1/16-inch, 1xx = 3/32-inch, 2xx = 1/8-inch....

Can we expand this thread  with a list of scuba equipment tool sizes.

What are the wrench and hex key sizes used in common regulators, hoses tanks etc.?

I`m not moderator of this forum :) Shure, this thread for everybody. When somebody can add more usefull and normalized information - it should be good.
About wrenches: Two common wrenches for most applications:
one:
31Gl7BZJctL.jpg

another:
95034_100pc.jpg

Can be purchased in any car service shops.

Most of all another wrenches is special tools, manufacturer specific.

But also exists two, very usefull, and fitted to most popular equipment:
Bladder Flange Tool - to install exaust valve seat for BCD.
dx-209001_1.jpg

That kind of seats: (three right positions)
i-655.jpg

how to use - is here (use translator)

another wrench for many kinds of 1st stages ODS
FS-02-(2).jpg

also is one popular wrench for many popular inflator control buttons: Inflator Service Tool w/O-Ring Kit

what else? :)

There's a wide variation in wrench and hex sizes, with both metric and imperial in use depending on which part of the world you live in. For metric, I keep a set of open spanners from 12 to 19mm. But there are other sizes for particular applications depending on the regs you have.

Most of the hex spanners required are metric, but I keep a set of imperial just in case. I find for hex applications it's really important to have exactly the right size, otherwise you just round out the brass hole.

The back of the service manual for most regulators has a table showing their recommended tools.

Thanks Herman.
