Still BLUE and going strong.... Yesterday the winds kicked in, couldn't make it all the way to Palancar, but had decent diving on Cedral and Tormentos. Saw some very cool, little stuff. ghost shrimp, sailfin blenny, painted alysia.....and a couple of turtles, including a very large hawksbill swam right up to us kind of checked us out, I think it's my devil hat, maybe looks like a yummy sponge growing on my head? :wink:

Thursday's 2 fer 1 lionfish at Perlita's was yummy, finished the night with a cold cerveza at O'hana's. Last night was Buccanos at Night, OMG the setting is absolutely beautiful, what a special night. The food was outstanding, go look at the menu right NOW and put it on your must do list next time you're down here! I mean it. They only serve dinner Friday and Saturday nights so plan ahead and make reservations.

Today the kids come in, JUST saw their plane coming in to land. Hope this wind dies down a bit, the beach is like a full body exfoliation, and I think I dive tomorrow. Military presence on the north end of the island and a big navy ship out front this morning....haven't heard why?

Oh, and for all you still on the island, MONDAY is Blue Angel 2 fer 1 Cocktail hour starting at 4pm! The Kix will be there by 4:30, come on down and have some fun (not to mention good drinks and apps)!

Had a very fun Monday night at Blue Angel with my new PelagicPal Sallye! Unfortunately, the wind came in and it's still going strong.... :( No diving yesterday and looks like none today.

We walked around town yesterday, did some shopping. Lunch at La Candela and then back to the room for some reading and chess. Dinner at Del Sur YUMMMM! Can't believe I've haven't made it there before now. We tried to head to Woody's for some music, but it was too chilly.

Don't know if the kids will head to Playa today, son's GF gets seasick and it looks like the ferry ride would be a rough one. Maybe the eastside if I can get a weather report.

Seriously cold on the boat today. Finally got out around 10:30, but it was pretty rough. Cold and windy, with some rain. Dang nortes! Day two of bad weather and it looks like it may be three.... I miss the sun!
 
I will be diving with Aldora on 3/30 for an afternoon and night dive.

Kixy!!! We were finally on the same boat today!! Should I ask if you are all right before I share the cool stuff we saw and did?
 
Sallye.... I heard there was some confusion. I wasn't 'officially' scheduled to go out, but I had them keep my gear 'just in case'... Ended up the family kinda wanted to hang together so I didn't make the call. I love my famdamily, but I have to admit I just stared out at the water most of the day a bit sad. OF COURSE that was the day we would be on the same boat!! Oh well, next time :)

Today we rented a jeep and went around the island, with 7 ships in everything was too crowded to get in so we ended up spending most of the day at Punta Sur which was fun. Stopped at La Hatch on the way in for late lunch and drinks...now showering, packing, paying bills and checking in with the airlines. So sad to leave....
