Trying to figure out the purpose of what looks like a carry handle. But the way the strap is sewn, the thick, padded part is not centered and cannot be cinched up any tighter due to the way the webbing is sewn. Is the buckle supposed to be on the other side of the sewn webbing?

You can't just slide it through the webbing counterclockwise? My buckle is in the same position and the handle is centered perfectly. I can also slide it in both directions.

Not sure I follow. I did force the stitched part through and now it is centered. Wondering if this was some sort of a repair or is that webbing stitched together on all Stilettos?

That's what I meant - slide, force through... Not stitched on my Stiletto or the Escape I have.

Are you sure it's a carry handle and not something to hang the BC from the tank valve while you're setting it up?

It'll probably serve both purposes, but it is not very practical for hanging from the valve. Both cam bands are already on the tank by the time it gets around the valve. If anything, it always gets in the way of putting the top band on, all in all a rather useless part of a very practical BC, lol.
