In the past, we have tried el Pique, las Otates, la Seras which were all good. On Saturday, we tried Mr. Taco, which was decent (al pastor was dry, arrachera and sirloin looked identical). But last night, our dive master recommended a relatively new, very local taqueria, Ruta 25. It was tiny and excellent! No lengua, but the al Pastor wss wonderful. The Campenchano, which I think is a combination of meats, was incredible and the Tripa (tripe) was perfectly charred and fatty. The suadero was good, too. Their address is 25 av entre 6 y
Calle 4 Norte. Trying a local seafood place tonight if we can find it... View attachment 777626
We walked by a few times in February. Wife wanted to try it, but never made the time.

Next year...

We typically have lunch in our room rather than go to a restaurant.
Same for us. We get supplies from Mega for our Ham and Cheese Sammich con Cervesa in Paradise and hit the restaurants for dinner.

Same for us. The boss cooks dinner every night. It's only fair that she have a vacation as well.

Thanks for your post. Went there tonight. Fantastic food. They make Mr Taco look bad --- really bad.
The pastor was soooo good. Pollo tacos are, more often than not, dry, tasteless chunks of some unknown protein. The chicken was tender, moist and just plain delicious.

Maybe this can be a sticky? I've begun a list of restaurants we've been to, including links to Facebook pages, websites, addresses, phone numbers (which might also be their WhatsApp). Please add whatever you'd like - including comments about what's especially tasty pricey, reasonable, live music, etc.

Just the list I was looking for!!

Added a few spots to your list—one https://missmimelbourne.com.au/ restaurant had amazing flavors and a really chill vibe. We tried a couple of dishes and ended up lingering over dessert, chatting and enjoying the atmosphere. Simple things like that make a meal feel special.

I am glad to see this thread moved up. It seems that this forum is not as active(trip reports, lodging, restaurants etc) as it has been in the past. So many restaurants that I have not yet visited, now on my radar.
