Attaching the design to cut your own triglides. Making your own makes sense if you need them done from a material other than stainless steel. I had mine made from titanium (ended up being around $2.50 a piece) and aluminimum (.65/piece); used a 3rd party plasma cutting service.

Where did you find a shop without a prohibitive minimum shop charge?

IME most machine and metal shops tend to the Linda Evangelista business model. ("We don't wake up for less than $10,000 a day.")

Why the need for titanium or ali triglides?

Why the need for titanium or ali triglides?
To keep the wing lighter and smaller for traveling.

The titanium ones (5g) are half the weigh of stainless steel (10g) of equal strength, so I use them where the strength matters.

The aluminum ones (5g) have similar strength and weight to the plastic ones, but are much smaller/thinner.

I travel light and routinely walk 5km+ with my backpack; those grams add up!

Not to mention the money saved, even stainless steel triglides are $5.79 at Piranha. Aliexpress prices are more reasonable, but the steel they use is kinda questionable.

With the walking thing, the weight has to come from somewhere. What you are losing in stainless steel, must be replaced with lead.

Haha no, I'm not walking 5km with a tank strapped to me. I'm talking about general walking during my trips. I tend to do 4+ week trips, of which diving is only a few day side activity.
