Trying to organize all my stuff and I just got a handful of new bolt snaps from Piranha. I started to put them in the box of BP/W stuff under the bed and then thought, well... really they are more of a regulator part since they attach there more-or-less permanently. My reg stuff is in the closet in the spare spare bedroom.

Where do these go? Are they a reg part or a BCD part?

CDO?

I just have a general spare parts and maintenance bin. Spare dive computer batteries , silicone spray & O rings, bolt snaps and paracord, etc. Makes it easier for me when someone needs something or I'm doing maintenance on gear. Though to answer your question I'd put them with BCD stuff.

Put them in the large Ziplock bag with all the other spare hardware.

Yes. They go with other hardware, just like tools go with tools, not with whatever you are using the tool on (unless it is a battery compartment opener, in which case it goes with the computer....)

If I put them in the right place, then go look for them later in the WRONG place, I'll think I'm out and then buy more when I actually still have plenty. I guess you can't have too many bolt snaps, sliders and D-rings. I'm starting to think about using them to micro-adjust weighting... "Oh! You're buoyant at the shoulders?! Here's five extra bolt snaps... just clip them here!"
Welcome to the diving world where you can never have enough bits and bobs.
