In Cozumel, at least, the technical dive guides are certified DMs who are also certified as technical divers. It is similar to the DMs who lead cavern and cave dives in the Yucatan--they must be cave certified."Technical Dive Guide Certification"

I often "casually" guide technical dives for individuals I don't know well. I'm also one of a few people who qualifies divers to access one of our local dive sites. I've decided it's time to carry some professional insurance and am currently pursuing the "TDI Technical Div Master" certification, so yes."Technical Dive Guide Certification"

That is the point , I`m obliged until i asked for proof of certification to Dive with a Guide to 65M but the Guide is not certified Extended ranges , but work for a Dive operator affiliate to SDITDI. Since i asked to visualized the Guides certification. I`m now refused to dive with them , interesting scenario. And SDITDI does not want to hear anything. What can i do ?im puzzled?
Im assuming your on your own and need a buddy ?rather then your on a trip with a buddy and your forced to have a guide ?
are you expecting to be guided ? or are you forced to accept a dive guide that you dont believe is trained because youre booking with a company that insists you have a guide?
I`m not expecting anything more then to be on time to go diving to a level they are Not certified forYou are talking about a guide, not an instructor offering technical training right?
What do you expect a guide to do on a technical dive? Sure they can bring you to a spot or point of interest, but the diver is responsible for his or her own safety including managing gas and deco.
Of course that's true of all dives with certified divers, but while you might expect some handholding if you need it on DM-led open water dives, that should never be the expectation on a dive specifically for tech divers that is outside of recreational limits.
I`m obliged , by local regulation , to Dive with a Guide, the Guide is not certified Extended ranges , but work for a Dive operator affiliate to SDITDI. Since i asked to visualized the Guides certification. I`m now refused to dive with them , interesting scenario. And SDITDI does not want to hear anything. What can i do ? the Dive Operator is in VANUATU. and pretend to be the leader in technical diving. fair enough we can dive to 68 M, but only with a Guide. I did asked DAN point of view , and awaiting reply. Please tell us what happened. It's difficult to understand from limited information.
