I’m in a similar situation to the OP. Completely blocked RCA. Sufficient collateral arterial growth. Carotids are clear.

HDL = 33
LDL = 32
Total cholesterol = 86

I have the all clear from my cardiologist for diving. I exercise daily. Crossfit 2 x per week.

I need to exercise everyday but I don’t. I’m only 67 and am retired so I have time but some days I am just not motivated.
I need to get over that and become a gym rat and cycle more.

Or go diving, or go for a walk, or play a sport. Or referee a sport. There are any number of activities that would count as exercise beyond just the gym. Some might even make a few spare coins for ya.

I’m 66. Classes in the gym are key for me. Once you commit, it’s hard to cancel. I started playing squash after a 30 year hiatus-not sure how long I’ll be able to keep that up!

Once you get a good, established exercise regimen going, it is very easy to keep it up. In fact, you may not want to miss even a day.

The key for my wife and me is the ability to do our exercise at home, so we have an exercise room. We do the elliptical trainer every day and do weights at least every other day. We have a lap pool and swim nearly every day May through early Oct. We have a dog and walk two thirds to a mile and a half every day. We are both in our early 70s.

When I am down in Florida, I dive most days. On days when I am unable to dive, I usually ride my bike.
