It looks like I have to send in my Teric. I bought it used and out of warranty because it only had a few dives on it. The AI stopped working. The Bluetooth still works. Though I guess they are separate antennas. I contacted support to see if there was anything software-related I could do. I'm doing a reset and a firmware update and trying again, but I'm pretty sure it has to go out for service. I'm hoping this doesn't get too expensive. I know the transmitters are good. The Perdix 2 picks them up fine. Has anyone had this process done? Is it expensive? I'm assuming it's going to be in addition to the regular service charge.
Thanks

Hi @_john

I assume your Teric is working normally except for the air integration and that you get the no communication warning. Though there may be other explanations, you may have lost your AI antenna. I have experience with that problem. If you have lost the antenna, the computer will connect if it is held in direct contact with the transmitter and will lose the connection when moved away. It is my impression that the antenna comes connected to the circuit board from the factory and that both are replaced. It is possible that this has changed since my experience. Here are photos of the circuit board and antenna from one returned to me by Dive-Tronix after replacement. Service from Richard and Michele Morton at Dive-Tronix has always been exemplary.

I sent it to Divetronix. The ballpark estimate is about $310 for a repair. I told them I didn't need it turned around quickly and that they could take their time. They sent a message that they got it, but that's it so far. I'll post an update when I receive additional information.

What a coincidence. I just got an email from Divetronix. I was a little off. It's $321 to repair. It needs a pretty much complete overhaul since there were some board changes. Basically it should be a new Teric after this.
Once again, I let them know I'm not in a hurry to get it back, and they could take their time. I have the Perdix to dive with until the Teric comes back.

How old was your teric when this happened?
Thanks

My battery life sucks after only 100 dives. As a point of comparison, it's about 50% what it was new. Other than that it works well. Of course I am months outside the free repair window 😒 I think it's a $100 battery replacement.
