Hi I was diving in the St. Lawrence this weekend and found a ring. "CMC 10k" just thought I would send out some messages

It would be helpful if you could provide some additional details on where exactly you found the ring and some indication as to how long it might have been in the river - or was this on shore?

'Exact location' - The true owner will tell me

Passage of time in River - Unknown. According to the movie "Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable" nothing grows on gold underwater, however this ring did have green growth on it, (probably because its only 10k gold) and considerable scuffing. I cant know if the scuffing is from the owner being a hard worker or due to the rocky shoreline. Probably both.

It was found at the river's edge.

I would bet the owner remembers exactly where they threw it on the day they decided to get divorced.

As a matter of interest, "CMC" probably refers to Canadian jewelry company Cadman Manufacturing Co., Ltd. rather than the initials of the owner.

As the river is rather large with a number of entry points for divers, providing some general idea as to where it was found might prompt the owner or another diver to recall where the loss might have taken place.
