3:53pm tide today. We got there before one, and parking was available as beach goers left. By the time we headed in at 2:40, cars were looking more like sharks!
OMG it was cold! Water temp dropped from yesterday down to ..according to my computer 73°on the west side. We got out after an hour and weren't the first ones out!. I've heard reports of 71-77 on the Westside.

A nudi kind of day! I have never found and shown so many varieties of nudi in a single dive!
A few..

Went to the bridge for diving yesterday. Arrived at 0730 for a 0944 high tide. Was going to snorkel the trail before diving but with a thunderstorm moving in, I skipped the snorkeling and entered the water on scuba at 0820 to the west. Did the snorkel trail heading west and then cut back north to the bridge pilings. Sea temp was about 81f with 50ft of vis. I decided to make the dive report as a youtube video, as opposed to just uploading separate clips. Bear with me, I have not done a lot of video editing before. And still working out a template that I can use for making video dive reports. BTW, there was a diesel spill somewhere over near the docks to the east today. It could not be detected on the west side, but the lifeguards had the beach shut down when I exited the water. When I left the park I could smell diesel from my truck as I turned east to go to Pura Vida Dive Shop. More details in the video. Check it out!

Check it out!
Nice report! Video editing takes a special amount of patience {that I don't have}. But I like all dive reports in any form because it helps all of us understand the conditions combined with the weather forecast to make those Go-NoGo decisions. Nice power rinse setup for the back of your truck !!

@Pipehorse - thank you for that video. I've been to BHB exactly once, @Scuba_Jenny was kind enough to take my brother and I for a swim. Seeing the park brings back pleasant memories. I'm going to have to go back there.

stairs on the west side?
Nice video. Looks like we were SOBs..( same ocean buddy). I was in some of the same areas.

@Scuba_Jenny I meant stairs on the east side.

Went to the bridge for diving yesterday. Arrived at 0730 for a 1039 high tide. Snorkeled the trail before diving and did a REEF survey of 46 species in 50 minutes. After snorkeling I got into scuba and did a 131 minute dive on the west side. Stayed mostly around the bridge pilings looking for often taken for granted species to video. Visibility about 40ft, sea temp 81f. See the below video for more details.
